Commentary

  • For Dickonson see 17 Dec. posteà. Robert Dickenson in 1593 was one of the Manchester manerial officers called market-lookers. He was junior constable in 1594, and senior in 1601. On 18th May, 1595, were married Robert Dycconson and Margaret Wilkinson. A Samuel Dicconson, of Manchester, Innkeeper, had a child baptised in 1616. He was buried in 1624. In 1644 Samuel Dickenson, of Manchester, Innkeeper, was buried at the Collegiate Church.
